Amalia Cameron - The heart behind Sabrosura
Based in Amiskwaciwâskahikan/Edmonton, Amalia is a salsa dance instructor, choreographer, and the passionate force leading Sabrosura. With a foundation in classical dance and deep Latin roots, she brings authentic, high-energy vibes to every class.
Her mission? To celebrate Latin culture, build confidence through movement, and create a safe, joyful space where everyone — no matter their background or experience — can grow, express, and feel at home on the dance floor.
Let’s move together, support each other, and live our best dance.

Nella Batres - Flowing with purpose, dancing with heart
With over a decade in the social dance scene, Nella brings soul, skill, and serious joy to every salsa step — On1 and On2. After years of training across Edmonton, she deepened her journey with Afro-Cuban movement, learning directly from the roots to bring even more depth to her dance.
Nella flows between leading and following, breaking the mold and embracing salsa as a space for freedom, expression, and connection. Her dance philosophy? Keep growing, keep sharing — because the dance floor is where we all learn from each other.
Let’s move with heart and live our best dance.

Jorge Rodriguez - Performer, coach and comeback king
Instructor
From gracing stages across North America — Vegas to Vancouver — to sharing the floor with legends like Andrea & Silvia, Sergio Jasso, and Fernando Sosa, Jorge brings world-class energy and experience to every step.
A certified personal trainer at The Den Fitness and a community builder through La Connexional, Jorge wears many hats — but dance has always been at the heart of it all.
After stepping away from the spotlight during the pandemic, Jorge made a powerful return thanks to his dance partner Belinda and a little push from the Gem Dance fam. Whether it’s coaching, mentoring, or lighting up the stage, Jorge is here to share his passion and help others shine.
Let’s move with purpose and live our best dance

Natasha Antonio - Dancing through story, spirit and soul
Natasha’s journey started in her teens with the vibrant rhythms of Portuguese folklore — and later, she found her heart in salsa. For the past nine years, she’s performed, competed, and trained with teams who share her passion for expression through movement.
Her love for dance doesn’t stop at salsa — she’s also inspired by the smooth flow of bachata and the soulful connection of kizomba. As an instructor, Natasha’s goal is simple and powerful: to help every dancer connect with the music, express their story, and move with heart.
Let’s shine together and live our best dance.
